Liturgy
Committee
Composed of volunteer chairpersons of the liturgical ministries. Meets 6-8 times a year to coordinate liturgical and special liturgical event plans.

Altar Servers
F
Girls and boys trained in 4th grade and beyond who serve Mass, funerals, weddings and special liturgical events. Also assist with tasks before and after liturgy.
Altar Server
Committee
Composed of persons who oversee scheduling and training of altar servers and who maintain a laundry schedule for the albs.
Extraordinary
Ministers of Holy Communion
Men and women trained and commissioned to distribute the Eucharist at parish liturgies, and/or to parishioners who are homebound, in care centers, or at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.
Lector
Trained to proclaim the Word of God at parish liturgies.
Sacristan
Men and women trained to set up and prepare sacred vessels, wine, altar bread, incense, priest vestments and other items used during liturgies including but not limited to Masses, funerals, weddings and baptisms.
Greeter
Parishioners who welcome people as they enter the church for parish liturgies.
Signing
Persons who have been trained to interpret the liturgy to the hearing impaired.
Usher
Men and women who prepare the assembly area for liturgies including funerals and baptisms, assist the assembly to find seating, present the gifts, take up the collection, and distribute surveys and bulletins.
Planning and Hospitality Ministries
Altar Care Description
Persons who provide for washing and ironing of purificators or altar linens used during liturgies. Also persons who sew new or repair purificators, altar linens, and baptismal bibs and stoles.
Art and Environment Description
Persons who oversee, in collaboration with the liturgy planners, enviromental setting for Lent, Easter, Ordinary time, Advent and Christmas, and plant and maintain summer church gardens.
Funeral Planners Description
Men and women who assist families when choosing the readings and music for the vigil and funeral service. Also assist in scheduling of liturgical ministers as needed for the vigil and funeral. They are present at the vigil and funeral to provide direction and support to the family.
Wedding Planners Description
Persons trained to assist the couple by explaining liturgical protocol for weddings and coordinate scheduling of liturgical ministers as needed for the wedding. They attend and provide support and direction during the rehearsal and wedding.
Music
Ministries
Accompanist - piano
and/or organ
Persons who are able to work with cantors/choirs and accompany the assembly at parish liturgies.
Persons interested in being a member of our bell choir. Play at designated liturgies.
Cantor
Persons with vocal skills to lead the assembly at parish liturgies. Usually scheduled for once or twice a month
Instrumentalist
Persons with instrumental skills, such as guitar, clarinet, violin, flute, trumpet, trombone, saxophone, etc. to accompany and/or play at parish liturgies.
Choir Members
People of all ages are invited to join one of the four regular parish ensembles.
Celebration Singers
Sing every other weekend except during summer months. Rehearse once a week.
Children’s Choir
Grades 3rd through 6th. Sings about every three weeks during the school year. Rehearses every Wednesday afternoon.
Resurrection Choir
Sings at all funerals and an occasional weekend liturgy. Tuesday morning rehearsal.
Teen Choir
Grades 7th through 12th. Sings about once a month. Regularly scheduled rehearsals.
